Start locally. Build recurring revenue.
Sell a managed menu service before expanding into ordering or payments. Win a small cluster of restaurants, demonstrate reliable updates, then use referrals to grow.
Who to approach
Begin with 3–5 independent restaurants or small hotels in one route around Kotu, Kololi or Senegambia. Speak directly with the owner or food-and-beverage manager.
What to promise
A branded mobile menu, permanent QR link, accurate prices and dependable local support. Offer a 14-day pilot with an agreed paid conversion date.
How to collect
Monthly invoices paid in advance. Start with bank transfer or an approved merchant wallet and manually reconcile receipts. Automated billing comes later.

Your first 90 days
Days 1–14: Interview 15 owners. Record current printing costs, price-change frequency, connectivity and willingness to pay. Show the menu demo.
Days 15–30: Onboard 3–5 pilots. Have owners approve every item and price. Test real printed QR cards on multiple phones at the venue.
Days 31–60: Convert pilots to paid plans. Aim for 10 paying businesses; measure support time, collections and renewals.
Days 61–90: Aim for 20 paying businesses only if service is reliable. Introduce referrals and hotel packages. Review margins before hiring.
Before serving paying customers
Add secure owner accounts, a shared database isolated by business, stable public menu URLs, real QR downloads, backups, billing records and monitoring. Guests should browse without signing in. Validate business registration, tax treatment and customer terms with qualified local advisers.
Market context: the government’s 2024 progress report records 226,657 tourist arrivals. This supports a hospitality focus but does not measure demand for digital menus. Government report. QMoney advertises merchant payments; confirm merchant terms before integration.
